Broccoli Rice Casserole

medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp. butter
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cups grated sharp cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 can French Fried Onions
1 pkg. broccoli, cooked and drained
3 cups cooked hot rice
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup water
1 cup mushrooms (sliced fresh or canned, drained)
Saute
onion in butter till soft, not brown. Add soup, cheese,
garlic powder, and milk. cook over low heat till cheese
melts. Add mushrroms, broccoli and rice. Turn into shallow
casserole, bake 350 degrees, 15-20 minutes or till bubbly.
